At her time playing for the University of Kansas Mariah was one of two players in program history to start and play in every game of her career (209 consecutively), she was a 2x All-Big 12 player, maintained a .300 batting avg. in the Big 12 conference all four years and was a 3-year team captain for the Jayhawks. At the conclusion of her senior year Mariah was 2nd All-Time in career RBI’s and career Walks for the University of Kansas Softball program. Montgomery was also included on a list of 2013 seniors to be drafted for the National Fast Pitch League. During her fifth year of school at the University of Kansas Mariah stayed with the Kansas Softball Program as a Student Assistant Coach. During her time coaching she assisted the team with hitting and infield. The 2014 Jayhawk team held a 34-23 record, which marked the fourth-straight 30-win season and earned its first post-season bid since 2006.


Along with coaching Mariah has a strong passion for sports medicine. She is currently a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) with an emphasis in sports performance as well as a certified Functional Movement Specialist (FMS). Her education and job experience has given her essential knowledge in helping her athletes not only on a skill and fundamental level but in being the strongest and healthiest athletes possible.
